edit default virtual machine settings

Hi,

Is it possible to edit the default "typical" settings displayed when creating a new virtual machine? For example, when I select "new virtual machine" in the inventory, the typical settings would consist of 4GB RAM, 2 vCPUs, 100GB hard disk, for a given guest OS? I've been poking around in the shell and have yet to discover where these settings are stored. I was hoping they're in a file I can edit and not in one of the binaries.

I understand I can use a template or cloning to accomplish this, but I'm specifically looking to modify the host.
