Can we use "Round Robin" Path Policy for Active / Passive SAN ?

Hi,

We are using EMC CLARiiON CX4 SAN.  So far as we know, it is an Active / Passive SAN.

We would like to know whether we can use "Round Robin" Path so that we can get better I/O performance ?  Is there any tweaking required on SAN or ESX Hosts ?
