Hi Guys
I've been asked to look at setting up a User Acceptance Testing Environment on our Vmware kit , Are there any experts that could point me in the right direction the most common way of doing this with ESX. We have a team of java developers/ VB ETC , some overseas , some in the building that develop an inhouse product with mobile devices etc For years it looks like they have had the test Vm's all over the place on "Production" with no real test environment.
We currently have
8 Node Dell P910 ESXi 5.1 Host Environment with around 300 Machines
Citrix Xenapp is used to Access this Application is Production and in Test
Each Host has 20 GB Access to core through Force10 MXL switches with Trunking to let Backbone VLANS through , Every machine runs on the same 3 VLANS
Would my best be to Setup another vswitch on each Host, With its own vmnic on an isolated VLAN ( With no default Gateway) and simple clone machines into this. How would this go with things like AD and DC's and Citrix etc?.
