I am in the process of building a server and have heard that ESXi has problems with some hardware. I have tried using the vmware search page where you can look up your components to see if they have been tested before, but it returns no results with my component entries. What components of a server setup could it not be compatible with:
- HDD/SSD that ESXi is installed on?
- HDD's that virtual machines are installed on?
- Motherboard?
- CPU?
- Memory?
Here's a list of my components:
-Motherboard: Asus Dual Socket G34 AMD Opteron KGPE-D16
-CPU: AMD Opteron 6272 16 Core Processor without fan

-Memory: Hynix Server Memory, 16Gb DDR3 PC3-10600 (1333MHz), 240 Pins, ECC, Registered, CL 9-9-9
-SSD (ESXi will be installed on here): OCZ 60GB Vertex Plus SSD - Solid State Drive

-HDD's (VM's will be installed on these): Seagate 1TB SATA 3 Performance Hard Drive OEM ST1000DM003
-PSU: Corsair HX 1050W Professional Gold 80PLUS® Power Supply
Can anyone see any obvious problems with any of the components that I have chosen? Thanks in advance.
Dan
