Hi guys
Am just trialing VMWare Mirage and would like to try and create a VMware Boot USB Key. In the instructions it says to extract the VMWare Boot USB Scripts from the BootUSB.zip file (obtained from VMWare).
Err.....anyone wanna point me in the direction of that file? Can't find it on any download pages related to VMWare.
Also, is there ANY plans to have a way to PXE boot into some kind of environment, to allow pulling down a Base Layer to a device? I understand that currently you can only do it with Windows installed on a device along with Mirage client. But this isn't that easy ins some scenarios.
For example. We have offices off in remote sites. If someones computer completely dies, with major Windows errors (so faulty software...not hardware issues) If i wanted to restore that device we'd have to either installed Windows onto it, install client then restore the device. Or boot from a USB stick, but with this we don't want to have a USB stick out onsite because....it would get lost.
Any possibility of a Linux PXE environment to boot into onsite, and pulling down a Base layer?
Cheers
Richard
