I'm plodding through the vCenter Server 5.1 Upgrade Guide, the entire time assuming I do not need to worry about installing a full SQL DB for 5.1, and I come across this on Page 51:
> Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express: Bundled database that you can use for small deployments of up to 5 hosts and 50 virtual machines.
I have 3 hosts and 36 VMs. Of these 36 VMs, about 25 are critical. We will be growing, but we should be good for another year or more.
Question1: should I bother with the time, licensing and so forth to create a full SQL DB for vCenter 5.1 upgrade?
Question2: does SQL 2K8 R2 Express come with the .iso for the vCenter upgrade, and just install/upgrade it first?
