I have a real strange problem: I'm using the VMWare View client (5.2 and since today 5.3) on Windows 8.
Often when I switch between Windows with the mouse the View client goes into a strange mode where every key pressed gets interpreted like I press it with the Windows Meta key. Like there is a Windows Meta key lock (like CAPS lock) so I don't have to press this meta key but all other keys are interpreted like it's pressed.
If I run into this mode many keys to certain things like opening IE, Explorer, OneNote, minimize all Windows, and so on. If I type fast and don't realize it immediately a lot of stuff pops up and changes on my desktop. This is extremely irritating.
To go out of this mode I have to press the Windows Meta key for 3 seconds. Then I'm fine again until it happens again.
I only have this issue with the VMWare View client. If I'm working in my native Windows 8 laptop it never happens. And if I connect to my VDI at work from my Linux thin client it doesn't happen either. It has to do with my Windows 8 or my laptop (Samsung).
Does anyone see this problem? Do you know how to fix this?
Thanks,
