We have the Hyperic Agent installed on our AIX boxes and then have the vCenter Ops Hyperic Adapter pulling data from Hyperic. The CPU and disk metrics reflect correctly in AIX as percentages but when they get into vCenter Ops everything is a decimal now. This makes it hard to graph or make color coded dashboards when CPU usage is reading 0.25 instead of 25%. I opened a ticket with VMware and they said we could create a super metric, which I did and it works but we would have to create one for each and every filesystem and CPU. VMware stated this problem will be fixed in the next version of the Hyperic Adapter for vCenter Ops and the bug is listed as 1026270. So my question is I was trying to follow this article as an example (vXpress: Part 1 - Using vCOps Super Metrics & Custom Dashboards to Display Datastore Usage % !!) to see if I could have the super metric apply to the entire AIX system. It still is not working correctly so would anyone out there be able to help me and is this possible until the fix is released?
