Hello,

yesterday I purchased the newest version of VMware Fusion to get it to run with Mountain Lion. As it turns out it the upgraid damaged my game-flow. Let me explain:

Age of Empire II the Conquerors is the only reason for me to use VMware. I play online via a community called Voobly. Now up till yesterday evening everything was working flawlessly: Some text distortions here and there but that was no big deal compared to beeing able to play this great game on my MacBook! Now after the update playing goes like this:

Enter a gaming room (Voobly application)

Game launches.

Game goes fullscreen.

Suddenly - Black Screen. I hear sounds from the in-game-room but see pitch black.

Alt-Tab - back on the desktop - the desktop is now 8-bit.(I'm on a horse)

Alt-Tab back into the game - now the Multiplayer-Ingame-Screen works.

Black again. Problem?

Alt-Tab to desktop and Alt-Tab back into the in-game-room and i see something again

(this instable process goes on until the game gets started)

Host starts the Game

Pitch Black again. You're welcome!

Alt-Tab - seeing some 8-bit love (reseting it to 32-bit before this second black screen doesn't help because it will turn back to 8-bit)

Alt-Tab back and my vision is back

I play the game and kick noobs

Game is over, I won - back on the desktop and fix that 8-bit love.

So as you can see, I can still play. It's just - I just payed $60 and instead of having a better experience I suddenly have a worse one. I'm unable to chat in the in-game-room because I always have to Alt-Tab back and forth to catch a glimps of what is happening there.

What I tried so far to fix the problem:

I turned of 3d acceleration. Nothing changed.

I tried the game in single mode and the errors didn't occur.

My VM system: Windows XP SP3

My Host system: MacBook Pro, 2,5 GHz i5, Intel HD Graphics 4000

Attachment: a screenshot of my system after the game was launched.
