vCO, vCD, and ways to respond to User Interaction to approval workflows

I was wondering if there are other ways to respond to User Interaction controls besides logging into vCO. Is it possible to populate the fields and continue the process in a small script of some sort (whether it be through SOAP/PowerCLI/vCO itself somehow)? Is there a better way to do this without using User Interaction controls (or somehow making it easier for the approver to find the specific User Interaction control to approve if there are many/etc)?

A sample workflow I'd like completed is this:

1. A user attempts to create a vApp from a vApp Template. After running through the "Add vApp from Catalog" action through vCould Director, AMQP blocks the tasks and sends an admin an e-mail asking whether to approve or reject the new vApp.

2. The admin open the e-mail and discovers the details of the action with either

   a. Direct links to an area where the admin can approve or reject the specific request quickly.

   b. Direct link to reject/accept the sepcific request.

As an aside, are there other examples of AMQP, vCO and VCD outside of the notifications package? Perhaps something a little simpler?
