I am looking for information how cpu and memory allocation is working
between VMs inside resource pool and those outside.
My memory shares per 1 GB are:
Low - 5120
Normal - 10240
High - 20480
I have the following scenario:
Resource pool with 3 VMs 1 GB each has a total of 15360 memory shares
assigned (i.e 3 x Low shares)
VM 1GB outside of the pool with Normal share - 10240
Let's say memory maxed out and shares kick in. 1 VM inside the pool is using
all memory so while other two VMs are idle. VM outside the cluster starts
asking more memory as well. Who will get priority: starving VM inside the
cluster or outside?
Thanks,
Naz
